Biography
I am currently a PhD student of Mechanical Engineering at University of British Columbia and I am studying the mechanical behavior of composite materials. I started my engineering career in Iran and obtained my BSc in Mechanical Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology. During my BSc thesis, I worked on designing and optimization of composite energy absorbers under axial and oblique crushing. Furthermore, I perused my MSc in Mechanical Engineering with focus on analytical and numerical investigation of mechanical behavior of porous materials. I obtained my honor degree in 2019. After that, according to my enthusiasm of learning and researching in my field of interest, I joined CRN group at University of British Columbia in September 2020 to peruse my PhD studies under co-supervision of Dr. Abbas Milani and Dr. Reza Vaziri.
